MEANING Remnant :- Remaining; yet left. That which remains after a part is removed- destroyed- used up- performed- etc.; residue. A small portion; a slight trace; a fragment; a little bit; a scrap. An unsold end of piece goods- as cloth- ribbons- carpets- etc.
REASON There is still a piece inside, something that remains after Wolfblood felt like a part of her was removed, destroyed by her life, by her actions, a sliver, a fragment that is good. It might be a small portion, it might be a small trace, but it is still there, fighting every day to show the love that remained in her heart.

ELABORATED Remnantkit is a small kitten and shall never be strong and muscular. As a youngster she will be quite chubby, which makes her really cute. Combined with her special eyes which are a combination of grey's, blues and amber Remnantkit looks like quite an exotic beauty. Light tabby marks are seen in her slate grey pelt, mostly on the cold parts of her body. When she get's older those stripes tend to be more hidden and are only seen in a certain light. She will also become more slender and be of similar build as Pepperpaw, with quite long legs and a small stature.



EXTRA She uses another tone of voice when she is telling a story, and even is able to give characters different voices.

Remnantkit is a creative kitten. She has to be, in order to do what she can do best. Making stories, changing the world as she sees it. Being hopeful for a better day, she is very into seeing the best of anything and everything and tends to wear pink glasses. Remnantkit does not yet understand the dangers of life, and the problems that can put a lot of weight on the shoulders of others. In her world everything is beautiful, even if she is hungry or if someone seems angry, she never feels like they are angry at her. Especially in her early life, she can be seen living in her own head, in her own little peaceful world. Remnantkit is more of a thinker instead of a doer, she can think of huge and important things but rarely feels fit to do it herself. She is afraid to take a wrong step and make mistakes. No one can read her thoughts, so they are safe, it is her actions that can be seen, and as soon as the kitten understands that, she is rarely putting herself out there. She might also be one of those cats that are not born athletic and needs to learn how to move themselves. She truely has to grow into her own body. Remnantkit tends to bee amiable, she is very friendly and warm, especially since Pepperpaw gives her such a good example in that part. She has a certain warmth that can pull others in and is very easy going and trustworthy. Remnantkit aspires to become a great Warrior, just like her mother. Even though Wolfblood might not be the warmest cat in Shadowclan, she is one of the best Warriors in Shadowclan and that ensures that the young kitten will strive to be just like her. Remnantkit is dutiful towards her friends and family, and wants to show her best side, which can also be a bit difficult, since she does not always believe in herself. The kitten can be quite humble. She does not see what she truely is, a remarkable kind cat, and always feels like she is not yet good enough. That others are still better then she is, and as such she will turn more and more into her own stories. She tries to become the hero of her own story. What she might lack in real life, she might not lack in her story, which ensures that she keeps creating her own world. Her dreamworld.

Remnantkit can be a bit allocentric, she is more concerned about the interests of others then herself, which sometimes means that she will work to hard as she grows older. The kitten can be quite cheerful sometimes so much that it might come across as being fake. Besides that Remnantkit is charming to most cats that she meets. Being that she always has a smile for others, even if they look very, very scary. Although secretly she might want to hide between her mothers' legs. Remnantkit at times is very clear-headed and able to see the greater picture, although this is a talent that will come later in life. She understands others because she herself wishes to be understood and accepted. As such she always keeps them in the center of her world, in hopes that others might keep her in their center of her world. Which in turn can lead her to getting disappointed. Remnantkit is very dedicated towards her friends, family and Shadowclan. She is not one to make friends outside of Shadowclan easily. She can be lovable because she is always in for a hug (do not tell Wolfblood that), even though at times she is too shy to ask for one when she needs one herself. The kitten is like every kitten very playful and whimsical, always ready to take part of a game, although she is better in brain games then in physical activities.

Remnantkit is a collector of everything under the sun, it changes every half a Moon or so. Sometimes it is leaves other times it might be stories or feathers. Whatever is on her mind at that time. The kitten can be articulate, maybe even a bit too much which means that she can make the wrong comments at the wrong times. Remnantkit is quite colorful, she tends to always have something in her fur, be it a flower, a feather or just mud. Rolling around in the mud is one of her favorite things, even though she hates cleaning her fur afterwards. The kitten can be a bit too energetic which leads to sleepless nights for those that are watching her. Remnantkit is fair which can also mean that she dislikes or ignores those that have hurt those she loves. Remnantkit is incisive which means that she has a sharp tongue when needed, however sometimes it is just plain disrespect to someone that does not deserve it and she needs to learn to hold her tongue and keep her mouth shut. The kitten is independent in her own mind, but in reality she really depends a lot on Wolfblood. Remnantkit is a true romantic which will lead to her heart being broken easily and quite often. The kitten can be quite critical to herself maybe to much so, and it can keep her from growing better at things. Remnantkit is shrewd which makes her a forminable opponent against those that wish to do harm.


TRIVIA
[td]Remnantkit is quite the storyteller, which means that as she grows older and starts to understand more of her world, she starts to invent better stories. It is a part of her that will always be there, her wish to create her own world, a nice world, a great world.[td]

Remnantkit believes strongly in Starclan, which means that she is promising to become a great member of the Clan. She is of to a great start in life, because of her respect towards history and the Warrior Code.

Remnantkit loves being around Elders, as she enjoys piecing together the true history of Shadowclan, the more stories she gathers the better at storytelling she herself will become and sometimes she might use one of the old stories to tell to her friends.

Remnantkit will have trouble getting pregnant as she grows older and as such might never have kittens or only one small litter.

POSSIBLE PLOT IDEA'S
Remnantkit is great with stories, and the amount of stories she trends to tell and make up are huge. This means that the kitten is not afraid to be in a spotlight. Especially since she enjoys making her own world in her stories.

Remnantkit is awed by Starclan and what she understands as being Starclan and this results in her telling a lot of stories about Starclan. It also can result in confused Clanmates, as sometimes it might seem as if she is connected with Starclan or even Dark Forest through her stories and the adventures she made up.

Some might even think she will follow Newtpaw and Pepperpaw in their footsteps although it is highly unlikely. This part of the plot might make the resulting relationship with Wolfblood and Pepperpaw more interesting. As they might have different views and maybe even fears because of this.

MOTIVATION
Nu kon ik dit niet laten. Babs en Kip wat doen jullie ons aan, altijd die leuke verhaallijnen en ideeën. Ik ga nu al bijna dood voor Wolfblood, haar als moederfiguur. Iets dat echt totaal niet bij haar past maar het ook oh zo leuk zal maken dit te volgen! Ik wist eerst niet of ik mij aan wilde melden omdat ik net Ferretshadow/Limestone heb overgenomen. Iets waar ik heel blij mee ben want ze post heerlijk. Echter weet ik ook dat ik het geweldig vind met jullie te kunnen plotten en gekke dingen uit te kunnen halen. Daarnaast houdt ik er voornamelijk van om katten vanaf hun kittentijd te ontwikkelen, en dan is een leuk achtergrondverhaal natuurlijk een must. Ook had ik al tijden de naam 'Remnant' in gedachten om te gebruiken voor een karakter dat wellicht voor mij de volgende Oceanstar of Flutterpaw'/Honorpaw kan worden. Een van mijn hoofd accounts dus. Er zijn maar weinig katten die hun kitten naar het overgebleven deel kunnen noemen, naar een klein onderdeel van... Wolfblood is hier een van, en daardoor moest ik wel een aanmelding maken. Zoals jullie zullen merken zal deze aanmelding wanneer deze af is, best lang en ingewikkeld zijn. Ik heb er dan ook veel tijd in gestoken en hij is ingewikkeld omdat deze kitten vele lagen zou bezitten. Dit maakt haar voor mij een uitdaging maar ook een makkelijker karakter om te onderhouden omdat ik een soort gedachtegang kan volgen en dus eenvoudigweg snel kan posten. Graag krijg ik deze kans met Remnant, al heb ik al gezien dat er vele prachtige aanmeldingen zijn! Pepperpaw heb ik natuurlijk ook mogen volgen met Oceanstar en een paar andere karakters en ik weet dat Pepperpaw nog ver kan komen. Ik heb in dit karakter dan ook de oogkleur van Pepperpaw erbij gepakt en de strepen op de koude delen van het lichaam, want ik vond het perfecte katje op Instagram die met een klein beetje bewerken precies kan zijn hoe ik Remnantkit voor ogen zie.
