[Astma]
Shallow is geboren met een lichte geval van astma. Astma wordt veroorzaakt door een allergische reactie. Bij astma treedt een verkramping op van de spieren in de luchtwegen, waardoor de kat aanvallen krijgt van benauwdheid. Het bijna verdrinken bij de reis naar BloodClan had het dus wat erger gemaakt. Ze kan er gelukkig nog lang mee doorgaan, maar lang rennen of heel snel ademen kan al tot benauwdheid krijgen. Rook en andere toxische dingen in de lucht kunnen wat ergere gevallen zijn, zoals flauwvallen, duizeligheid en soms zelfs kotsen.
