[ShadowClan territory] Smell the Rain

While the rain drops fell from the sky with great velocity, the small black tom-cat raced through the vast bushes of the ShadowClan territory. His fur was near soaked with water when he finally reached the dead hollow tree at the edge of the territory. Once inside, his large amber-colored eyes looked outside again to the white curtain of falling rain drops. It was only when he turned around again when he suddenly noticed another cat was sitting right there in the same hollow, only a little farther away. The smell of water and rain must have been overwhelming, for the scent of the other cat was scarsely notable. The black warrior's wet fur immediately rose on his shoulders. "Who are you?" he calmly demanded.

She had been on a patrol and suddenly it had started raining - you could easily have called it pouring. It had been Greenleaf, for StarClan's sake. It shouldn't have been raining this hard, and it annoyed Primroseblossom - even though she didn't complain out loud, she was cursing and yelling at the sky in her head. She just didn't want to bother others with her complaining so she kept quiet. Every single cat in the patrol was annoyed and soaked by now, and they had vaguely marked and checked the boundaries, so the patrol leader dismissed them. With a sigh of relieve Prim smiled at him, before quickly walking towards a hollow tree where she used to be all the time in her younger years. When she finally reached it, she once again sighed in relieve. The raindrops were easy to hear here, but that was something that the white cat could enjoy and listen to for a couple of hours. However, the beating drum of just the rain didn't last forever. No, a cat came into the hollow tree without even noticing her and she stared at him awkwardly. She recognized him as Gloriousnight, he had just been made a warrior with a couple of others. She smiled at him, but he didn't seem to recognize her! "Who are you?" He asked her, and she raised an eyebrow at him - that was not how you spoke to an older warrior. "I'm Primroseblossom, someone from your Clan." She told him, but her words were no harsh words for they were accompanied by a smile that was one her face.

Not long after he asked his question, Gloriousnight's wary expression softened slightly. Just when the overly familiar ShadowClan scent reached his nose, she spoke. "I'm Primroseblossom, someone from your Clan," The black warrior immediately sat down where he stood, but held eye-contact. "I shouldn't have been so suspicious without knowing who was in front of me, I'm sorry." he softly murmured, and looked around himself to find some sort of distraction. The rain outside was still pouring from the heavens like some entire RiverClan lake had evaporated, only to come down above their territory.

Primroseblossom smiled sweetly at the other cat when he sat down after her words; she had not minded that he had growled at her like that. "I shouldn't have been so suspicious without knowing who was in front of me, I'm sorry." he apologized and Prim nodded. "It's okay, it's in your blood - almost every ShadowClanner has this protective thing over his territory." She smiled again, even though she could not see him that well; it was dark in the hollow and he was a black cat. "So, what brings you here, so far away from the camp?" Primroseblossom asked, slightly curious of the awnser that the cat in front of her had. But then she remembered that she hadn't even asked who he was before! There were loads of black cats in their clan, so she could not see who exactly he was. "I'm sorry, but who are you again? I can't really see it because of the dark.." Her sentence was muttered at the end. Well, now she looked stupid.

The she-cat's response was not quite like what he had in mind. "It's okay, it's in your blood - almost every ShadowClanner has this protective thing over his territory." She told him and smiled. Gloriousnight kept silent. "So, what brings you here, so far away from the camp?" The black cat needed a few seconds to think about that. "Well, to be honest, I don't really know either. Not realy anything in particular actually," he told her, grinning slightly. His trips to the territory often had no reason at all. He would just walk and sit around, thinking about everything and nothing at the same time, and if there would be prey near, he'd try to catch it. Her following question reminded him that he hadn't asked her for her name either. "I'm sorry, but who are you again? I can't really see it because of the dark.." The black warrior grinned again. "I'm Gloriousnight, just recently became warrior," he spoke rather soft. "But excuse me, I don't think I quite remembered your name, either," He quickly continued.

"Well, to be honest, I don't really know either. Not realy anything in particular actually," the cat answered her question en she smiled. She could not say that she didn't walk around being useless sometimes, even though she did not like to admit it. She was just a dreamer and wanted her time to think without all the cats in the camp breathing down her neck. "I'm sorry, but who are you again? I can't really see it because of the dark.." She then told him, and felt stupid immediately. She should be able to see that, or even smell that. "I'm Gloriousnight, just recently became warrior," Primroseblossom nodded - she knew he did. "But excuse me, I don't think I quite remembered your name, either," that was a relieve, and Prim smiled. "I'm Primroseblossom, one of the older members of the clan. Even though I am not even that old," She continued and chuckled. "Do you like being a warrior?" She then asked softly. Most of the cats did enjoy it, but she had known a few who didn't quite like it that much, because of all the responsibilities that came along.

Her answer was quite obvious, actually. "I'm Primroseblossom, one of the older members of the clan. Even though I am not even that old," she chuckled. Of course. He should have known. "Do you like being a warrior?" She then asked. For a moment, Gloriousnight just looked at her. Nobody had ever asked him that, and to his own surprise he even hadn't thought of it himself. Becoming warrior was something that just happened, and almost no clan-born kitten could escape it. "Well, I wouldn't say I don't like it.." He started, hesitating a little. "I guess I don't really have a clear opinion on that," he said, smiling a little.
