[Windclan Territory] Come Wind Come Snow Come Winterland

Joyful Carrotkit ran out of the Nursery. It was early in the morning and most cats were still asleep, but this little kitten just couldn’t sleep anymore. As soon as her eyes had opened and she had seen it was snowing again, she’d left the nursery – with the speed of light, one could say. Carrotkit absolutely loved the winter. The cold didn’t bother her at all, the snowflakes that fell on her nose made her giggle and the frozen puddles made her happy.

It must have been snowing all night long, Carrotkit thought, when she realized the snow covered her paws completely. Once standing still, it was difficult to move forward, because of the height of the snow. However, Carrotkit wasn’t the kitten who would give up on her plans soon and with constancy she struggled through the snow, every now and then pausing to give her paws some rest.

At one point the snow was this high, nothing but Carrotkits ears and orange tail were visible. She quickly fought her way out of the airless snow, though, and looked at the rising sun, vaguely visible through the grey clouds. It gave her a warm feeling, similar to the feeling she’d had when she had just entered the living world, and for a few minutes she paused and did nothing but stare at the sun.

However, Carrotkit is a restless kitten and sitting still isn’t one of the things she likes to do. That’s why she soon stood up again and tried to go on. That was when she heard a voice calling. She pursed her ears and looked in the direction of the sound. She soon noticed a cat, another one who was awake early. ‘Hi!’ she cried happily. Snow was one of the most awesome things in the world, but it became even better when there was one with who you could play in this white substance.
