As the autumn leaves fluttered bravely on the cold wind, a small she-cat sat thoughtfully in front of the door her owner had close. She let out a sad mew and sighted. It was cold outside. Way too cold. She had to admit that winters .. or so called 'leaf bares' were more harsh. They were merciless. StarClan's grip on you tightened with each passing day in leaf bare and yer here she sat. Shivering in front of a twoleg door because she was cold. If her parents or her former clan mates could see her now.. Twinkle closed her eyes and twitched her whiskers. Of course they would laugh and throw vile words at her. Why blame her? She was a deserter who lived miles away from the RiverClan territory, who had chosen the soft kittypet life over the harsh clan life. The only thought about it made her sick to her stomach and she turned around. Her belly grumbled violently to let her know that she was damn right hungry. Her twoleg food was inside but since her owner just moved in- was there no cat door like the neighbor cats had. Twinkle gracefully jumped of the stairs and trotted towards the wooden fence. With the grace of a cat her age she landed perfectly on the other side. Twinkle twitched her ears and stalked of towards the woods. The ash grey sky loomed down on her in a macabre way that almost made her wish her owner would return home soon. Getting wet was not on her schedule today! Not getting wet. Oh dear gods, I am a disgrace. She thought as she jumped on a rock and flattened herself on it. She could hear a mouse skittering about not too far from where she was and she had the intention to get it. The bushes in front of her made no movement, but she could hear the mouse under it. Then the small mouse came in sight. Completely oblivious to it's hunter it continued it's search for food. Then without a single warning she jolted forward and caught it in between her claws. With a swift bite she ended its life and lifted it of the ground. Happy with her afternoon meal, that she didn't have to share with a single soul, she decided to go straight back to her garden. Just when she made a move forward she scented a cat. Shocked she jumped a few paces away and placed the mouse behind her, trying to cover the scent slightly by throwing some dirt over it. With as much grace as she could manage to bring up she sat down with her front paws very neatly placed right next to each other, and her tail curled around hem. Back straight and chin up. "Hello?" She mewed softly but audible.
